There are moments in this work that stay with you—

The Gift

She came to me in the midst of her fight.


Soft-spoken, but strong in a way you could feel without

explanation.

 

Even then... she chose softness.

And then, one day, her mother walked through my door.

 

She shared that before she passed,


her daughter had given her a gift—


knowing one day,


she might need a place to land.
